AUTOMATIONEvery year, preventable disasters cost Malawi and neighbouring countries billions in damage, lost productivity, and human suffering. The solutions exist — they just haven't reached the people who need them most. Until now.
Malawi experiences devastating floods every year. In 2023 alone, Cyclone Freddy displaced over 500,000 people and caused more than $500M in damage. Communities had minutes — not hours to react.
Over 50% of Malawi's population lacks reliable access to clean drinking water. Traditional kiosks are expensive, poorly staffed, and often closed when communities need them most — forcing people to use unsafe sources.
Load shedding and grid instability cost Malawian businesses an estimated 15–20% of potential revenue annually. Hospitals, schools, and farms cannot operate — not for lack of ambition, but for lack of reliable power.
An intelligent, end-to-end flood detection and early warning platform that uses sensor fusion, machine learning, and real-time communications to protect communities before disaster strikes.
An autonomous, community-grade water vending machine engineered to operate without an attendant. Coin and RFID card payments slash operational costs while delivering clean water to underserved communities.
Reliable, sustainable energy infrastructure for homes, communities, and industry.
A comprehensive fleet and asset intelligence platform combining real-time GPS tracking, DG fuel monitoring, diesel consumption analytics, and full power automation in one unified dashboard.
From HVAC to cybersecurity, access control to smart automation — GRAD delivers the complete built environment.

Lilongwe, Malawi — Green Air Dynamics is proud to announce the official launch of FloodSense AI on 26 June 2026, a groundbreaking flood detection and early warning platform built specifically to protect lives, livelihoods, and infrastructure across flood-prone communities in Malawi and the wider Southern Africa region.
Malawi is among the most flood-vulnerable countries in Africa. Every year, seasonal floods in districts such as Salima, Chikwawa, and Nsanje displace tens of thousands of families, destroy crops, damage infrastructure, and claim lives. Historically, communities have had little to no advance warning — decisions to evacuate have been made based on visual observation of rising water, giving people mere minutes to respond.
FloodSense AI changes this fundamentally. By deploying a dense network of intelligent sensors across river basins and combining that data with machine learning models, the platform can predict dangerous flood events hours before they occur — giving communities, local councils, and emergency responders the time they need to act.
The system is built on a five-layer architecture designed for reliability, scalability, and real-world conditions across Malawi's diverse terrain:
At launch, FloodSense AI is operational across Salima, Chikwawa, and Nsanje districts — three of Malawi's most flood-affected areas. More than 120 sensor nodes are now active, providing continuous coverage of the primary river systems, tributaries, and flood plains in each district. District councils and civil protection authorities have been onboarded to the real-time authority dashboard and have received full training on the system.
"FloodSense AI represents years of research, field testing, and collaboration with the communities most at risk. We believe that access to timely, accurate flood information is a fundamental right — and that technology has a responsibility to serve the people who need it most. This launch is just the beginning. We are committed to expanding FloodSense AI across Malawi and beyond, ensuring that no community faces a flood disaster without warning."
Green Air Dynamics will progressively expand FloodSense AI coverage to additional districts throughout 2025 and 2026, with a target of national coverage across all flood-risk areas in Malawi. The company is also in discussions with regional partners to deploy the platform in neighbouring countries across Southern Africa.
FloodSense AI is a product of Green Air Dynamics' Flood Management division. For technical specifications, partnership enquiries, or to request a demonstration, please contact our team.
Interested in deploying FloodSense AI in your community, district, or organisation? Our team is ready to conduct a site assessment and design a deployment plan tailored to your catchment area.
Contact Us About FloodSense AI →Lilongwe, Malawi — Green Air Dynamics is excited to announce the official launch of PurePod+ on 10 June 2026, an intelligent, fully autonomous water vending machine designed to bring clean, affordable, and reliably available water directly to communities — eliminating the barriers of cost, geography, and dependency on human attendants.
Access to clean, affordable water remains one of the most pressing challenges for communities across Malawi. Traditional water kiosks and vendor models are expensive to operate, require full-time staff, are prone to inconsistent hours and service quality, and often pass high operational costs on to consumers — making clean water unaffordable for the families who need it most.
PurePod+ was designed from the ground up to eliminate these barriers. By fully automating the vending, payment, and monitoring process, PurePod+ removes the need for an on-site attendant entirely, dramatically reducing operational costs and enabling consistent, round-the-clock water access at prices communities can actually afford.
PurePod+ is launching with active deployments across 12 township sites in the Lilongwe and Blantyre regions. Early data from these sites shows an average 60% reduction in water costs compared to traditional water vendors in the same areas, and consistent 24/7 availability that was not possible under previous supply models.
Combined, the launch deployments serve an estimated 40,000 residents, providing reliable access to clean water at the community level for the first time.
"Our goal with PurePod+ was simple: make clean water as easy to access as a phone top-up. No waiting for an attendant to arrive, no inflated prices, no uncertainty about quality. Just clean water, available whenever you need it, at a price that works for every household. The early results from our launch communities have exceeded our expectations, and this is just the beginning."
— Green Air Dynamics, Water Management Division
Green Air Dynamics plans to scale PurePod+ deployments significantly throughout 2025 and 2026, targeting underserved townships, peri-urban settlements, and rural growth centres across Malawi. The company is also exploring partnerships with local government bodies, NGOs, and development finance institutions to accelerate deployment at scale.
Whether you are a community leader, local council, NGO, or business investor, we would love to discuss how PurePod+ can serve your community. Contact us today for a site assessment and deployment proposal.
